1. My bluetooth mouse
2. Connecting to my phone, either to transfer files, or as another input device
(remote control)

Whenever I need to transfer files to/from my phone, and for connecting to my
mouse whenever it starts running out of battery and stops auto-associating. I
also use it to check if my mouse has connected, if waving the mouse around
doesn't work (sometimes needed if HAL has crashed on Karmic).

This would be a few times a month.

I also use it to setup new devices, but this is pretty rare, as setting up
devices is a one-time thing.

No.
