That's exactly right.

If anyone sees a "Minimize to Tray" function in any Ubuntu application,
please make a note of it on
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NotificationAreaTransition/CompatibilityFixes>,
so it can be removed.

And if anyone is willing and able to fix gnome-panel to make long-lived
minimized windows more compact, please submit patches for that too. :-)
