Hi Shane..

Hey all,

I was sending a file to a friend using sent to and I noticed that it
doesnt give any indication of the progress of the transfer or even if
the user has gotten it. I found out that the send to dialog stays on the
screen until they get it but I think it needs some sort of better
indication. My proposal is either make a progress dialog or dismiss the
dialog and send a notification when its done. At the moment it
suboptimal and should be a little bit more obvious what going on IMO.
Thoughts?

yeah, i started the topic with little luck recently.
fortunately somebody, i think thorwil, put up a wiki page for the topic:
if you look here https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Ayatana you find our pretty portal page, containing a link to the wiki, which can be found
here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Ayatana/FileContextMenu

first of all, Send To is not at all consistent with the other related options "Move to" and "Copy to".
The logic behind these three and also behind "Open with" as well as "Save as" and "Open recent" does not substancially integrate the design concept of Affordance..
