great stuff. i don't like the one with the lens icons inside the search bar but i quite like the other two.as james said they do tend to give a bit of an impression that they directly affect the search bar but maybe not the rest of the dash. i don't think it'd be too hard to do something about that with mockup lens 2/3.png.
like maybe for 2 instead of the icons being tabs on the search bar they're tabs on a line running the width of the dash just above the search bar.for 3 having all of the buttons enclosed in a single bubble instead of individual ones for each lens i believe would indicate that they're more of their own kind of thing instead of individual extensions of the search bar.also as ryan said maybe making the home button a bit separated from the rest could also indicate that it's a bit different. maybe instead of making them all the same distance apart have them spaced a bit differently. give a bit more space between the home and apps than between apps files and music. something like home_._._apps_files_music.again, great stuff.--Josh Strawbridge
