How does that work for maximized windows when you have indicators in the
upper-right of the screen?

This could be the only problem. Like I say before, the buttons will be forced to the left, or the buttons will go (if the mouse is in the right part of the windows) to the right beside the system indicator, like the mockup of the windicator in the maximized window. 
I prefer the first one, with the buttons forced to left: the buttons to the right aren't nice to see, for me.
