My touchpad and buttons also do not work; but since I usually use a USB 
mouse, which still works fine, I could not work out whether it was 
upgrading to 12.04 b1 that caused it, or a subsequent update, or indeed 
a hardware fault, so I didn't report it. I first noticed problem on 23rd 
March.
