So here is the latest and greatest of the current technology in online
backup

Paid & Commercial softwares

   - DropBox
   - SpiderOak https://spideroak.com/ - They have some good writeups on what
   they do. They even have parts of their code open sourced.
   - SugarSync - Bloody non-linux supporting developers!

Open source:
BoxBackup - http://www.boxbackup.org/ - These people seem to be heading just
where we are trying to go. They seem to have just a subset of our ideas, but
I haven't read in detail
