Open Lantern (icon with flame on top left of toolbar), create a new
slide from the dropdown just below that toolbar icon (above the slide
list) and add a textarea (justify icon above main workspace). You
should see a TinyMCE window pop up.

Just got your second reply, but thought I'd respond in case this
question is additional.
