OK, your output shows that you are on Ubuntu 14.04.

Now please try checking whether the language setup is ok,
open system-settings - language support, and verify whether everything is ok there (no warning "language setup incomplete").

Finally start

software-center

and copy/paste any warnings and error messages into this document as
done before.
