It seems that you are running a version of the kernel that is too low.
The kernel version designated for Ubuntu jammy is 5.15.0 (or higher).

What is the output of the commands

apt policy linux-image-generic
LANG=C dpkg -l | grep ' linux-'
LANG=C sudo apt update
