Run a full backup of your important data
Resize the NTFS to make unpartitioned space in Windows
Reboot
Run a full chkdsk on your NTFS file systems
Make a bootable USB stick using Ventoy 
Boot to the Ubuntu install media and install Ubuntu to the freed space
