It seems that the wall-clock isn't in 3.1.91 which is what is in Oneiric:

http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/amd64/libgnome-desktop-3-dev/filelist

So that would mean the pkgconfig check is wrong there.

Also, I'm a little uncomfortable using a schema that isn't in our package.  I'd like to see if there isn't another way besides using GSettings to do that.  The problem is that GSettings just aborts when the schema isn't there.  It's such a high penalty to pay, I don't want to take that risk.  If we have to, let's put that schema setting in the indicator not in the panel.
