Search algorithm variables
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
We have not decided which variables should BeeSeek consider for its page
ranking yet. We are arraged to use Alpha 2 only to get statistic and not
to interpret data, but we are not arranged on what information should
BeeSeek get.
I propose to use http://wiki.beeseek.org/HowItWorks page or my
laboratory (http://wiki.beeseek.org/AndreaCorbellini/Lab) to draft a
list of variables.
While we decide which page to use, here's a list of factors that may be
relevant:
* Focus time: the time when the user is viewing the page and the
windows is not minimized or hided.
* Scrolling: how often and how long the user scrolls the page.
* Selected links in the page.
* Number of results viewed.
* Last search query: if typed words are similar. This information may
be not fully stored (e.g. if I search "ubuntu" and "wiki ubuntu",
BeeSeek will store only "ubuntu wiki ubuntu" or similar) to respect user
privacy and to mix users queries to obtain a best result.
If you want to add items to the list (also apparently insignificant),
we'll be very grateful!
