A dconf key has been added. Personally I think a "--silent" flag would
make more sense though.
At the moment you have a possible case where you can click the Birdie
icon and nothing happens.

I have added Birdie to my startup apps (because I want to get mention
notifications when I log in), but I don't want to start it with the
window every time I log in.
