Public bug reported:

I'm running Ubuntu Budgie 18.04.01 and I love it - except, I cannot
access files stored on my Netgear NAS (SMB) storage when running
Inkscape 0.91.x and 0.92.x.  Inkscape can't see/use the NAS storage at
all.

I hate to point the finger at Budgie but when I run Inkscape (same
versions) on plain Ubuntu 18.04.1 (Gnome 3 interface) Inkscape accesses
my NAS storage just fine.
