[Bug 1825473] Re: Interface errors in various applications
It's an issue with the uplift in version. For ppa packages you need to
raise a bug report via the ppa owner.
For other repository issues raise an issue on the package e.g. ubuntu-
bug filezilla

Title:
Interface errors in various applications
Status in Ubuntu Budgie:
Invalid
Bug description:
Package: filezilla
Version: 3.39.0-2
APT-Sources: http://pl.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu disco/universe amd64 Packages
Input fields are not working properly, fox example when I select the
host field I can't cut by ctrl+x, backspace doesn't work etc.
Package: dbeaver-ce
Version: 6.0.2~ubuntu16.04
APT-Sources: http://ppa.launchpad.net/serge-rider/dbeaver-ce/ubuntu disco/main amd64 Packages
Data display flickers or doesn't show at all (works only in text mode
or when displaying SQL results), SQL editor doesn't show text at all
so you have to type blindly.
I can see this in terminal (didn't check if this appears when using
xfce):
(DBeaver:17083): Gdk-CRITICAL **: 08:55:28.326: The window 0x7f0ad581a4c0 already has a drawing context. You cannot call gdk_window_begin_draw_frame() without calling gdk_window_end_draw_frame() first.
2019-04-19 08:55:28.327 - Event loop exception
org.eclipse.swt.SWTError: No more handles
Both apps work fine on xfce, a few weeks ago DBeaver was working fine
(this broke around update to 6.0.0, not sure if change was on their
side or Budgie, but as you can see it's not related to just one app).
Not sure how I can debug this further, I'll monitor this report and
answer questions as best as I can.
Environment:
XUbuntu 19.04 (updated from 18.10). I have installed Budgie while on 19.04 a few weeks ago and switched desktop when logging in.
