Title:
  gsd_power crashes the desktop

Status in gnome-settings-daemon package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid
Status in magpie package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  /usr/libexec/gsd-power crashes the desktop leaving you at the login
  manager.

  This appears to be a gnome-47 change to gnome-settings-daemon where
  the api has changes for the backlight

  in journalctl I see the following

  Sep 15 19:38:42 dad-22.10 kernel: gsd-power[7464]: segfault at 30 ip
  00007c7a37296e20 sp 00007ffc70b5a990 error 6 in
  libglib-2.0.so.0.8200.0[7c7a37294000+a4000] likely on CPU 2 (core 1,
  socket 0)

  Commenting OnlyShowIn=GNOME to OnlyShowIn=GNOMEX
  /etc/xdg/autostart/org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.Power.desktop prevents
  /usr/libexec/gsd-power from running and the desktop to be reached.

  Running manually /usr/libexec/gsd-power produces a segmentation fault

  Reporting this to indicate that there is an issue here - will need
  debug specifically where in gnome-settings-daemon is initiating the
  issue.  I note the final release version of gnome-settings-daemon has
  fixes in this area.

  Hopefully if this is packaged soonish can then test again for more
  insight.
