Message #00060
Re: Details on hybrid-graphics-linux page
imo it's better to wait until we've a stable branch. Currently everything
happens
on the master branch, at some point we must made a feature freeze and then
start
reviewing again.
When all of the issues on the following milestone are closed (with #15
being the last
one), we've a tagged release.
https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/bumblebeed/issues?milestone=1&state=open
In preparation, you could blog about the fact that acpi_call is soon to be
deprecated
in favor of the workaround called bbswitch.
It was reported that the Lenovo Ideapad Y470 and Y570 did not work due to
vbios
errors, but for those using recent nouveau drivers+kernel (say, xorg-edgers
on ubuntu
with nouveau from git + kernel 3.1>), please test the patch at
https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee/issues/149#issuecomment-3285349
If possible, join #bumblebee on Freenode IRC and report the results (or in
the GH issue)
Include the kernel log, instructions for patching nouveau and building it
can be found at
http://pastebin.com/c5XqKSsW (don't forget the _ROM hack patch)
Regards,
Lekensteyn
