I Have Dell Dimension 2400 PC 1GB Ram OS Ubuntu 12.04

I installed Bumblebee and SMPLAYER this program player the sound +2 to +3 minutes out sync.
Bumblebee caused VLC not to work, only showed the first frame them stopped.
When I UN-installed  Bumblebee VLC work perfectly I also UN-installed SMPLAYER.
I was advised to install Bumblebee so that I could use the Nvidia correct drivers. I was having a problem at start up with size of the graphics which were very large.


Any advice please.
