Issue:
I have tried multiple ways of installing the nvidia proprietary driver.
None have worked and I have done my best to uninstall them all. Also, none
of those ways (I now know) would have given me the CUDA support I want.
Anyway, I installed bumblebee 3.2.1 through ppa:bumblebee/stable. The
NVIDIA driver did not work at this point, so I purged it and installed the
CUDA toolkit with the ubuntu 12.10 deb from
https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads. I've followed the troublshoot
page and I changed bumblebee.conf as y'all say to:
https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee/wiki/Troubleshooting#bumblebeed-module-nvidia-is-not-found.
After I reboot I get a warning that graphics are running off of the CPU.

Before I installed via the CUDA toolkit, I had no GLX renderer or Direct
Rendering and Cinnamon was running in fallback mode.
optirun -b none nvidia-settings -c :8
^This command brings up a settings page.
Does anyone have any suggestions about where I can go from here?
