Welcome! (and some useful links)

Welcome to the Bazaar Documentation Team!

To kick things off, I'd like to point everyone to two useful links that
you may want to bookmark:

1. http://bazaar-vcs.org/ContributingToTheDocs
2. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bzr/+bugs?field.tag=doc

The first is our Wiki page outlining how to contribute to the docs. It's
pretty rough but hopefully it covers the basics. Please feel free to
improve this document at any time.

The second link is the list of bzr bugs tagged with 'doc'. It currently
contains 50+ items. It would be nice to reduce that number before 2.1
ships. I see Patrick has already started the ball rolling by submitting
a patch to improve the docs for 'bzr ignore' yesterday. Well done!

I'd like to hear everyone's opinions on what we ought to focus our
energy on in coming months. Should we start some new manuals, clean up
the existing stuff first or take a completely fresh approach, e.g. build
a collection of screencasts? Maybe we should write more tutorials
focussed on particular users, e.g. web developers, technical writers,
Eclipse developers?

Personally, I'd like to see us build some early momentum by cleaning up
some of the low hanging fruit in the bug list first. While we're doing
that, we can be discussing the bigger picture stuff. (It would be
awesome if everyone had a look over the bug list, picked one or two easy
bugs and submitted merge proposals to fix them. If you need any
assistance, don't hesitate to ask.)

What do you think? What should we focus on first?

Ian C.
