Yep, failed on the command line as well.  I'm running 2.6.0 on
the client and server.  I just upgraded them both from dev
versions.

Plain old "bzr missing" works just fine, so perhaps a bug in the
xmloutput plugin?

I agree that we need to do it, I just think we need to make it
obvious to people when they upgrade - top of release notes is
probably best.
