Ubuntu Packages For 0.9.0 Now In Bazaar Explorer PPA

Hi all,

If you've been following along in Bug #425507 [0], you'll know that a
Debian packaging branch for bzr-explorer [1] and an Ubuntu PPA have
recently been set up. By chance, this happened to coincide with the
0.9.0 release! So I'm happy to announce that packages for Karmic,
Jaunty, Intrepid, and Hardy have been uploaded to the Bazaar Explorer
PPA. [2] They are currently sitting in what appears to be a long the
build queue. So it might be a few hours before they are actually
availiable.

Please note that as bzr-explorer depends on bzr (>= 1.14) and qbzr (>=
0.11), users of Ubuntu releases before Karmic will also need to add
the PPA for Bazaar Developers. [3]

As this is the first release of the packaging, we might want to get
some testers to kick the tires before announcing widely. I wouldn't
want any flaws in my packaging to detract from your lovely product.
I've tested the Karmic package myself, but I don't have any older
systems laying around to work with. Once they are built and I wake up
in the morning (about 12:30 am my time as I write this), I'll probably
post a call for testing on my blog which gets syndicated on Planet
Ubuntu. After a little time testing we can get the packages copied
over to the main Bzr PPA for wider consumption.

Thanks!
