It should work on your MacBook. However, if your MacMini is only a
32-bit-capable processor, then it won't work.

I'm not actually sure how to build PyQt to use the 32-bit Qt framework
on Snow Leopard. When I first started working on the Mac installers, I
encountered some problems with 32-bit vs 64-bit. I had assumed that the
default Python was 32-bit but it turned out to be 64-bit and PyQt
wouldn't compile with the 32-bit Qt framework.

The only other Macs I have are a PowerPC G4 Cube and a PowerPC G3
MacMini. The former is running Debian and the latter is mothballed
somewhere. I'm not even sure if it still works...

Then I would suggest installing the Qt framework and compiling PyQt
yourself.
