unable to reproduce, it worked fine for me. Can you upgrade to latest GTK and server version ?
If you still have the problem, can you be more precise on the steps to reproduce ?

Bug description:
Server V6.0RC1 on ubuntu 9.10
Client   GTK on ubuntu 

Hi, 

in the GTK  i put a new meeting, the duration is correctelly calculated when exting the field "End Date".

after saving the duration resets to 00:00 when new meeting and saves correctly  date begin and date end.

when i modify an existing meeting (demo data) the GTK client says seved but resets to original values
