Perheaps it could be moved to the extra addons - this way we know it's not supported anymore, and it can be fixed later by the community.

Status in OpenObject Addons Modules: Won't Fix

Bug description:
after installing base contact many forms like SO/PO do not display a contact any more but only an address.

as base_contact has very usefull but basic functionality it shouldn't break the logic
