Ultimately if the Launchpad team won't help, you can still fix it at your side, delete or rename the LP branches, and push the fixed branches instead.
It was done once in v5.0 for the web client, so at least we know it can be done.

A bug in bazaar was noticed a few months ago and reported by HDA : Bug #522637
A bugfix is available but the affected branches need fixing too.
