You should search by name of the view.
XML records are stored in ir_model_data table and XML IDs are listed over there.

Status in OpenObject Server: Invalid

Bug description:
In Views view ( base.view_view_tree ), using the Xml Id search field does not affect the search.

Eg: going to Administration -> Customization -> User Interface -> Views and searching for a view using its XML Id has no effect.
