Thank you for your suggestion! However this is unfortunately out of the scope of the current OpenERP release, so we cannot implement it.
Let's close this bug for now, for the sake of clarity in Launchpad, it can always be reopened later when we consider new features for future roadmaps.

PS: the salesman is the one who creates the invoice (internal user of your company, even if it's a supplier invoice)

Bug description:
the tabs "invoice", "other" need unified layout for customer and supplier invoices.
it looks very much random how fields are placed

btw who has to be entered as "Salesman" for supplier invoices ?
