Thanks for reporting Felix.

Here come 2 scenarios:

1. Action could be an another window(we call it act_window which is  a link to current object like Invoices of current partner). This opens in a new window ,is quite fair.
2. Action could be a wizard, this should be a pop-up. Currently, it opens a blank new window and a pop-up both, which sounds an un-userfriendly behavior and this is where the scope of improvements resides.

client web Rev 3839 server Rev 2995 addons Rev 3903

When clicking any link on the right sidebar (extended view) a new window opens (neither a popup nor an alertbox) loosing its relation to the main window an showing only the requested content without the framing. From my point of view either a popup or a new frame should be opened.
