[Bug 654514] Re: 'Dropdown box; in State should be removed
Hello Julian,
The drop-box is here to suggest that the state is a selection field and cannot take arbitrary values. It is also grayed out to indicate that it is read-only. This seems to be a common behavior, based on usual widgets that can be found on many modern interfaces.
I will leave this bug as "Triaged" and ask Aline to handle it as she sees fit (keeping in mind that this behavior would be global for all selection fields! and would need to be adapted in both GTK and Web clients as well, so I'm not sure it's a good idea at this stage)
Thanks for the report

Status in OpenObject Web Client: Triaged
Bug description:
Using Trunk, CRM, Opportunities
A usability annoyance is where in the State in CRM shows dropdown box, but you cannot alter it, ie it does not actually work as a drop down.
To Replicate
1) Click Sales -> Opportunities
2) Click '3rd Round Funding - 1000 Units' demo opportunity.
3) Select Edit, and you can see the State as Draft with a dropdown symbol. You actually click 'Open' to open.
A developer who had not seen Open ERP before tried clicking on it today here, and thought it was bad design which I agree with ..
