I have checked this with latest trunk code but did not face the bug specified traceback.
Would you please check again with the latest code.
You can reopen this with proper steps If you will face similar problem again.

I think the ".." handling is OS specific and not part of the FTP spec. But I think it is considered as normal behavior by most client.
