Bug description:
the (ISO) country code for  United Kingdom  = 'GB' (not UK)

I strongly suggest to introduce the following columns

* ISO - Code - 2 alpha
* ISO - Code - 3 alpha
* ISO - Code - 3 digit
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Country_code

* Postal Code
http://www.upu.int/post_code/en/list_of_sites_by_country.html

* statistic code
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nomenclature_des_unités_territoriales_statistiques

* top level domains
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Country_code_top-level_domain

* international car codes
http://users.telenet.be/worldstandards/carcodes.htm

we also found it useful to store the default language, lengths of postal code

and may be others.
