On latest version the record in the DB is not affected, but the read fonction is not working with the company context (see bug 691541 )
This made impossible to work with any multi company setup.

Bug description:
  Create a new DB with Demo data
Edit the 'Income account' for one of the categories
You have a new property linked to the company User
Change the company user
Edit the 'Income account' for the same category
It override the current property instead of creating a new one for the second company
