[Bug 693164] Re: [6.0] exclude cancelled resources from grouped results
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 692732 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/692732
IMHO it's not the same
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/692732 describes a malfunction of the
programm code
this one describes a general design "misconception" of data presentation
due to missunderstanding the needs of ERP users.
another possibility would be to have a button "exclude cancelled"
pressed "permantently" = reamins pressed also after clear - if this is
technically possible.

Title:
[6.0] exclude cancelled resources from grouped results
Status in OpenObject Addons Modules:
New
Bug description:
Example Sales Order - Demo DB
Cancel one or 2 SO and group by customer
see attachment
the result is technically correct, but of NO ECONOMIC RELEVANCE at all, in contrary users will use theses numbers without realizing that these include canceled resources.
Suprisingly (almost)
I created a filter "Customer excluding cancelled" while the group customer button was pressed and the filter also saves the grouping info. good not know... that "grouping" is a "filter" too
Conclusion:
OpenERP provides the necessary tools to provide economical valuable data but IMHO OpenERP should be configured out of the box in a way that it fits the needs of economists.
Obvioulsy this argument is true for grouping of ALL resources (SO,PO,PICK,INV, MRP, Project, Task ........) execept for group by state where cancelled resoures should be shown
