Hello Ferdinand,

Thank you for your suggestion! For a new version we may evaluate the possibility to assign a *new group* to hide or display the lots...However this is unfortunately out of the scope of the current OpenERP release (we wanted it more simple, with less groups too), so we cannot implement it, 
Let's close this bug for now, for the sake of clarity in Launchpad, it can always be reopened later when we consider new features for future roadmaps.

IMHO if a company decides to use production_lots these must be visible to all stock users
the current design forces to assign more or less everyone to group_extended to acomplish this which IMHO is not the way to go

suggestion
group_tracking which shows all (track_incoming, track_outgoing, track_production

BTW if tracking is required it is mostly also for internal moves.
suggestion new field  track_internal (see chricar branch)
