"This Fiscal Year" is working well at my end and yes, You are right regarding all periods issue. Currently dashboard shows all moves of all periods. This issue has been fixed in

  [6.0] dashboard finance - company analysis - P&L accounts seems to use data of all periods/fy

Bug description:
  it sems to me that all moves of all periods (fy's) of P&L accounts are aggregated. (may be because I have not closed the fy yet) 

nevertheless
opening the "Company Analyises" in it's own tab and clicking on "This Fiscal Year" returns NO data.

BTW I doubt that accountants will find (alphabetically sorted) aggregates presented this way  usefull at all.
accountants expect activa, passiva, P&L grouped - the sorted list Assets,Cash, Equity, Expense, Income , Payable,... makes no "accounting" sense.
