Title:
  OpenERP Report Designer not working on Windows 7 64-bit with
  OpenOffice 3.2.1

Bug description:
  OpenOffice 3.2.1 (Build: 9502)
  Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

  Installed OpenOffice 3.2.1; installed the OpenERP Report Designer
  which came as part of OpenERP 6 (from the latest trunk as of the time
  of 13th Dec 2010) by clicing the "Save as" button in the window where
  it asks you to configure OpenOffice; restarted OpenOffice; clicked the
  “Connect” icon in the toolbar; nothing happened: no message, no window
  appears, nothing, but the menu is still responsive, i.e. if you hover
  over the toolbar, the buttons will raise and tooltips appear. Tried
  the menubar; still nothing happened.

  Went to OpenOffice’s Menubar, Tools / Extension Manager, clicked on
  the “Remove” button for OpenERP extension, got  the confirmation box,
  clicked OK, then got a dialogue box:

  Then clicked “OK”, then clicked the Remove button again, got the
  confirmation box again, clicked OK, and it removed successfully;
  restarted OpenOffice; the extension was gone. Installed it again; same
  problem as before.

  Went to Windows' Event Log; found these entries which may be related:
