[Bug 702784] Re: Sample server config file openerp-server.conf ports name

Hello Olivier,

this morning we tried to execute two servers at the same machine, when
we changed the listening port for netrpc and xmlrpc in the config file,
we found that the variable "port" and "netport" didn't change them. We
were using the openerp-server.conf that you can find in doc, we copied
it in the root installation directory and execute the server like you
wrote. The configuration file was working because the database user
changes were working but the ports dindn't change. When we put
"xmlrpc_port" variable instead of "port" it worked correctly. We found
in the openerp documentation in server configuration and we saw that for
netrpc we had to use "netport" variable but it doesn't work when we
changed it but worked with "netrpc_port". I suggested the change of
"port" variable that appears in doc/openser-server.conf to avoid the
same problem we found. I think those variables changed in version 6 from
version 5 and we had that confusion.

Thanks and we apologize for any inconveniences

Sample server config file openerp-server.conf ports name

Status in OpenObject Server:
  Incomplete

The sample configuration file for server has the port names wrong.

Suggested changing the parameter option port with xmlrpc_port and
  netport with netrpc_port.
