You are right the "user" is a reserved keyword for PostgreSQL.
Thanks for reporting, And i am confirming this issue. But Our R&D Teams are focused on the latest OpenERP version So it will be consider for future roadmaps.

Bug description:
  Minor issue - Class email_server uses a field named 'user'. Since this
  is a reserved keyword in PostgreSQL/SQL it likely should be changed.
