I didnt say the fields a blank - please read my bug report. I said 'allows for empty'

In other words - look in your screenshot and you will see your fields
are not in ligh blue background.

If you change the journal type to cash, these are in ligh blue.

  v6rc2 account - journal - bank and cheques - needs compulsory accounts
  selection

Bug description:
  in the original v6 rc1 and rc2 releases this was working correctly.
  Upon updating from todays trunk, I can see that the journal configuration of 'bank and cheques' journals allows for empty Default Debit Account and Default Credit Account.

  Not a major issue, but I wonder why break something that was working?
