Hello Gerrit Duran,

I have checked this at my end but I can add the groups for the "test user" user. I performed the following steps,
1. I Create a user "test user".
2. Add groups to that user. 
3. also cheked with the existing user "Demo user".

I would like to request you to please update your code with the latest
stable 6.0.1.

I have attached a video for your reference.

  While editing or adding a user there no capability to add groups to
  this user while it is available in the GTK client.
