please could you provide these 2 lines of code to avoid rounding on a per line basis - as I said it will work for us too.
IMHO if these 2 lines could be the "alternate" computation method, OpenERP might be more suitable for many

the specification could go into the tax definition (bool: rounding per
line) - so both methods would be available at the same time.

Bug description:

  due to rounding of the calculated tax for each position we get totals
  which are wrong.

  In Austria we usually group the basis per tax rate and calculate the
  tax from this basis to avoid such errors.

  class account_invoice_tax  - 
  def compute must be modified 

  actually only some lines of code to group the invoice lines before
  calculating the tax

  probably this has been discussed (but not solved) already
