I have improved the tree view of period and fiscal year in Addons3
branch.

chart of accounts i request you to create new bug for it.

Bug description:
  IMHO these views 
  account.period.tree
  account.fiscalyear.tree
  must show company_id if the user is in Usability/Multicompany group

  there are quite some wizards and select widgets to select fy or period
  which display meaning less data if company is not displayed

  example
  * chart of accounts - select fiscal year
  BTW regardless which fy is selected charts for all companies are displayed. looks not very consistent to me, - especially if one or more companies have different fiscal years.
  I would expect to see the chart of account only for the selected fiscalyear/company
