Hello,

I did the same as suggested by you in last comment and able to assign
child company to user without adding OpenERP SA.

I have attached the screen shots, Please check it and notify us. And
also give me the information like you wanted the thing as one can assign
child company to user if it's parent company is only listed inn the list
of companies.

  [6.0] multicompany - can not assign "Shop1" only

Status in OpenERP Modules (addons):
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  to reproduce
  demo database
  assigen multicompany to admin 
  create a new user
  try to assign shop 1 to the new user

  error
  Error occurred while validating the field(s) company_id,company_ids: The chosen company is not in the allowed companies for this user

  it works only if "OpenERP S.A." is also assigned - which does not make sens for me.
  we must be able to assign users to child companies only.
