I think you missed the point, and i disagree with you refusing to fix
this issue. Please reopen this issue.

Here a more finegrained description of the issue :

1. Create a user.
2. At this point, user should belong to no groups.
3. Add group to user.
4. A popup appear : in this popup, every groups are selected.
5. At this point, if you just validate the popup, user will be added to every group.

It is certainly NOT what you want as a sane default, you will NEVER want
to add an user to every group as default behaviour.

The default behaviour at this point should be :

4. A popup appear : in this popup, no groups are selected
5. User must select the group(s) to add to the user
6. Popup validation, with selected groups. etc.
