Hello François,

I understand that it might look like these automatically created
addresses are annoying, but this is a needed feature, because the email
address and contact information are specified in an "Address" record,
and a user needs them.

For example when a CRM user sends an email via OpenERP, the "From
address" is the email address of user's address, as set in the user
preferences. Using a real "Address" linked to the user avoids adding
several custom fields on a User that really belong to an address. And
creating the address automatically with the user allows setting the
related "email" field in the user preferences without having to create
an address manually, which would be a major usability issue.

Having a few addresses in the list of addresses for the users is not a
major annoyance in any case, and the addresses are not useless at all,
but they are indeed incomplete until someone takes the time to fill them
in, as the system cannot guess that information.

I hope you understand the situation better and understand our point of
view as well, otherwise do not hesitate to reopen this bug with more
information.

  When I create a new user, I automatically got an address with just the name of the user.
  So my address book is polluted by this new incomplete/useless information.
