Hello Kaveri Das,

You can assign the maximum leave from  Human Resources/Holidays/Allocation Requests this menu.
In this menu you can set the leave type which you want to select and other field "Number of Days" where you can define the maximum leave for the related employee and the related employee's department manager can approve this allocation request.

Another thing is that if you set a "Allow to override limit" = "True" in
Leave type 's form view those type of the leave have been Employee
taking  more leaves then the available.

  Maximum Leaves field not coming in Leave type

Status in OpenERP Modules (addons):
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I cannot enter the maximum leaves allowed in leave type. How can i
  enter that?
