Great!  We are interested in collaborating in the interest of releasing
this as a module that could possibly make its way into add-ons and
released in one of the upcoming versions of trunk.  Just as a
localization thing.  Let me know if this is something that your company
would be interested in.

Title:
  US Chart of Accounts not compatible with 6

Status in OpenERP - US Localization:
  New

Bug description:
  There are several US Localized Chart of Account modules available for
  version 5, however they are no longer compatible with 6.

  Here is a quick rundown of possible changes that will need to be made:

  - divide account_chart.xml into l10n_us_service_chart.xml and l10n_us_service_types.xml  
  - reorganize account_tax and tax_code - how?? (this is the least clear to me.  the blueprint you provided may somehow need to be integrated with this) 
  - rename files

  The goal is to make these US templates available again in 6 for the
  wizard.  There are about 4 or 5 of these already available for 5.  We
  would be glad to be of help.  It does not seem that this would be a
  terribly difficult undertaking.
