OpenERP is currently working on a new set of Example Charts of Accounts for
the US for version 6. NOTE: this will also include the ability to utilize
"negative sign on reports" which is required in most environments. This
development will be part of the i10N_us localization. This will include
charts targeted to specific industries. I believe they are creating a new
launchpad code stream with this code very shortly.
